People in Sao Paulo may be taken aback when they see a New York City Police Department motorcade speeding down the streets, complete with red lights and sirens. This is due to a group of Brazilian fans who are passionate about the iconic police force and have taken to refurbishing NYPD cars and motorcycles, likely inspired by cop movies and shows such as “Law & Order.” Fabio Denzin, who owns a Ford Crown Victoria, a van, and a motorcycle all painted as NYPD vehicles, commented, “To tell you the truth, it creates some confusion sometimes.”0
