Less politics, more love as Berlin film festival returns to live screenings
At this year's Berlin Film Festival, the main competition entries are dominated by stories of love, a departure from the political dramas the event is usually known for. After last year's online-only version, the festival will return to live screenings in 2022, with artistic director Carlo Chatrian hoping to restore the social connections that have been weakened by two years of lockdowns and isolation. Chatrian commented that they have "never before seen and welcomed so many love stories as this year: crazy, improbable, unexpected and intoxicating love."0
