U.S. awaits chorus of huge, 17-year cicada hatch
Seventeen years ago, the Motorola flip phone was considered cutting-edge, Facebook was just getting started, and George W. Bush was president. In some parts of the US, people could hear the chorus of cicadas. Now, after all these years, Brood X or Brood 10 cicadas are resurfacing in Washington D.C. and 15 states from Georgia to New York, and west to Indiana and Illinois. Much has changed since then, but the cicadas are back.0
