Tusse – from child refugee to Sweden’s Eurovision Song Contest contender
Tusse, who was born Tousin Chiza, experienced a new world when he arrived in Sweden at the age of eight after spending three years in a Ugandan refugee camp. He will be representing the country in the Eurovision Song Contest in the Netherlands in May with his song "Voices". The 19-year-old was separated from his parents at the age of five while attempting to flee the civil war in the Democratic Republic of Congo. He was later granted asylum in Sweden.0
