On Wednesday, Ash Barty shocked the tennis world by announcing her retirement at the age of 25, having just won her third Grand Slam title at the Australian Open. She cited the achievement of her tennis goals and exhaustion from life on the Tour as her reasons for leaving the sport with 15 titles to her name. In a video posted on her Instagram account, she stated, "I know how much work it takes to bring the best out of yourself … I don’t have that in me anymore.”0
