Leonhard Foeger, Austria's chief photographer, emphasizes the significance of the Hahnenkamm downhill race on the Streif slope in Kitzbuehel. This year, the event was held without any spectators, despite the fact that it usually attracts up to 50,000 people and celebrities such as Arnold Schwarzenegger. Ski photography on the downhill is a challenging task, as the skiers reach speeds of up to 150 kmh and pass by in a fraction of a second. Therefore, it requires at least two photographers - one to capture the action on the slope and one to capture the skier's reaction at the finish line.0
