On Thursday, residents of Tokyo celebrated the success of their athletes at the Olympic Games by gathering around an Olympic monument near the National Stadium for photos. Japan has had an impressive showing at the Games, ranking third in the medal table with 13 golds, four silvers, and five bronzes, behind only China and the United States. Chiyoko Oshima and her friend, wearing Tokyo 2020 Japan blazers, had tickets to several matches, including men's gymnastics, but due to the ban on spectators, they have been watching the Games from a hotel room.0
