The Chinese 4x200m freestyle relay team had hoped to win bronze in Thursday's women's final, but they ended up taking gold in a world record time. Zhang Yufei, Yang Junxuan, Tang Muhan, and Li Bingjie led the race from the start and managed to hold off a strong challenge from Katie Ledecky and the United States to finish in 7:40.33.
