Liverpool overcame a shaky start to prevail in their Champions League semi-final against Villarreal, winning 3-2 on the night and 5-2 on aggregate. Juergen Klopp's side had taken a 2-0 lead from the first leg, but found themselves 2-0 down at half-time in Spain. However, they rallied in the second half, scoring three goals in 12 minutes to secure their place in the final.
