In a scarred Hong Kong, “beautiful things are gone”
Kiwi Chow was reminded of the day he became an activist during the pro-democracy protests in Hong Kong in 2019 when he saw a team of cleaners scrubbing the walls of a pedestrian tunnel. He recalled gathering with his son and some friends to cover the walls with Post-it notes containing political messages and drawings, and being joined by strangers.0
