COVID-19 cases in southeast China more than double as Delta spreads
In China's southeastern province of Fujian, the number of new local COVID-19 cases more than doubled on Tuesday, according to the National Health Commission. This has caused officials to take swift action, such as implementing travel restrictions, in order to prevent the virus from spreading further. 102 community infections have been reported in three cities in Fujian, including Xiamen, which has a population of 5 million, in the past four days.0
