Armoured vehicle seen on streets of Yangon
On Sunday (February 14), a Ukrainian-made armoured personnel carrier was seen driving around Yangon, marking the ninth day of anti-coup demonstrations across Myanmar. It is believed to be the first time such a vehicle has been seen in the commercial capital since the military coup two weeks ago. The purpose of the military vehicle's presence on Sule Pagoda Road, around Yangon City Hall and the city centre is unknown. On the same day, hundreds of thousands of protesters marched in cities and towns across the country, as the new army rulers attempted to contain a strike by government workers that could disrupt their ability to govern.0
