Robinhood Markets Inc's user agreement is likely to provide the brokerage app with a defense against the numerous lawsuits filed by customers after it blocked the trading surge in companies such as GameStop Corp that was spurred on by social media forums. Owners of internet platforms where much of the discussion occurred are also protected from responsibility for users' actions under the 25-year-old Section 230 law.
