‘Doug to the Rescue’: Drone pilot saves animals in global disaster zones
Douglas Thron, a cinematographer, was inspired to use a drone with an infrared scope to locate animals in disaster zones after working on a film about animal rescue. He demonstrated the use of his drone in Tujunga Canyon, California, with the hope of being able to save more animals trapped under rubble or stuck in trees.0
